In late 2019, the City of Archangel solicited student artwork from each of Archangel's 12 Sister Cities for inclusion in a colorful 2020 Youth Calendar.
Haley Leavitt, a student at the Maine Arts Academy in Sidney, submitted her art depicting Portland's Monument Square and it was published to cover the month of September 2020.
The Maine Arts Academy is a Performing Arts Charter High School that integrates the power of the arts with a rigorous academic experience. All students have a full academic schedule as well as daily participation in performing arts and visual arts courses. Students come from more than thirty Maine school districts and are active in theater, music, dance and visual arts.
